While restrictions are in place, we are delighted to be able to offer a class, using Zoom.
There will be a single class at 10.30am on Thursdays.
Once registered, you will receive an email, each week, with the link, which is by far the easiest way to joint the meeting and log in details.
You will be able to join the meeting at any time from 10.15, but no-one will be admitted after 10.30am
Microphones will be muted at 10.30am for the duration of the class, which will last for around 1 hour.
Content will be a variety of Qigong exercises to suit the ability range of participants and the space most of us have available in our homes.
Cost per class is £1.
A register will be taken each session as you are admitted to the meeting and payment will be due once
restrictions are lifted.
You do not need to attend every week – though we hope you will get back into a routine.
The number of participants is not limited, so please feel free to let any of your Tai Chi friends know about this class. Anyone wishing to take part, should email Betty McDonald on bmcdonaldprestwick@hotmail.com

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese health exercise where the mind, the breath and the body work in unison.  This leads to a state of relaxation.  It is particularly suitable for older people as the movements are soft and slow.

Its health benefits are varied – reduction of stress, blood pressure and heart rate, increased flexibility and mobility in the joints, and improved balance, concentration, coordination and strength in the legs.

Lots of OiR members have been coming along to the Tai Chi groups and have obviously been spreading the word about the health benefits and how much they enjoy it.  As a result of this, our groups are usually well filled.  However, we believe that we should try our best to accommodate, in some way, any members who wish to join.

If you want to find out more, please contact Betty on 01292 479083.
